Why we use Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy has been around for ages and is still popular today. Simply put, it is the inhalation of fragrances to achieve a positive benefit mentally, physically and/or emotionally. It is believed that aromatherapy can be used for many things from improving one’s mood to actually causing healing of certain conditions.
For example, certain scents or combination of scents are said to:
- calm anxiety
- reduce depression
- boost mental sharpness
- increase energy levels
- induce restfulness and sleep
Promote Well Being:
- eliminate headaches
- boost immune system
- calm digestive issues
- relieve general aches and pains
- improves circulation
The above lists are a snapshot of what aromatherapists believe can be achieved through scents. We believe that scents evoke feelings, memories and state of well being along with some healing benefits as well. This is why we work hard to create beautiful blends of fragrances for each of our signature, hand-crafted products that may benefit you.
“Historically, essential oils are best used in the form of massage or bath oils or inhalations. Frequently, it is reported that aromatherapy leaves one feeling uplifted, stimulated, invigorated, or rejuvenated, depending on the oil used. When inhaled, the various aromas penetrate the bloodstream via the lungs causing physiologic changes. In turn, the limbic system, which controls our emotions and memories, is affected.” (1)
We list the scents for each product on our site. This will help you distinguish which products you want to buy based on your preferences. If you believe in the benefits of aromatherapy, you will love our perfected combinations of scents.
Here are a couple of examples from our site:
UR Brave is a blend of White Tea and Ginger with just a hint of Musk. These fragrances are enjoyed by both men and women. Traditionally, the Chinese used White Tea as a source of vitality and youth and ginger to relieve muscle pains, nausea and improve circulation. Musk (which is widely used as a key scent in perfumes and colognes) is said to improve cardiovascular function. This soap can create a sense of bravery in men and women by reviving your spirit and increasing feelings of energy and health.
UR Free is an elegant blend of Orange and Patchouli that is just the right balance and not overbearing. It is also preferred by both men and women. Orange and Patchouli individually are said to have the same properties of anti-inflammation, antidepressant and a bit of a sedative effect. This blend is perfect for freeing yourself from the stresses of the day and feeling good.
